What do you think about this for a FN? DS is named Daniel..
We're are thinking Ruth Marie Diane..as it happens all three names are family names..but do they sound ok together? (It is tradition in my family for the second born to have 2 middle names)
Re: Ruth?
i'm "eh" about ruth. it's kinda dull to me.
i think the three names flow well together, though
I'm not a huge fan of Ruth, it's my mother's FN but she never uses it. I think it's dull as well and can't get ove "Baby Ruth", people are not going to stop with that.
I like Diane Ruth Marie as a better combo. But all three together in your order is just fine.

I thought of using "Dianna" as a variant for Diane for the FN (thanks to some great suggestions from a previous post)..but I thought it sounded too matchey-matchey with Daniel??

This exactly. I love the name Ruth. It would be a strong contender on our list if it went better with our last name.
Diddo
agreed!
It's a bit matchy but I wouldn't get your Christmas card and go "Ew, Diana and Daniel are her kid's names?"

I agree. Plus it's a great but little used Bible name. I think the names flow well too.
I love Ruth, but just eh about your middle names. I know they have significance but her whole name doesn't have to have family ties.
How about::
Ruth Evangeline
Ruth Alexandria
Ruth Emmeline
Ruth Lillian
Ruth Mary Kate
Ruth Juliet
Ruth Carolyn
I know, but these names have alot of significance and the people who we would be honoring mean a great deal to us.
We were trying to come up with original (as in not family names) FMs but DH and I are having a hard time agreeing on names (I love Noelle for a FN..he wants Katherine) but we do like naming her (if baby is a her) after people we love and care about.
Ruth is one of my favorite characters in the Bible (Daniel was DH's, that is why we picked it) and Ruth holds the added significance of a dear person in our life. Marie and Diane are family names. (Daniel's MN is Peter, to honor my dad) so that is why we were thinking of going that route.
I know we have plenty of time...but still
Thanks for all the input though! It really does help!
