Hey Ladies,
Have any of your Dr`s suggested taking a baby Aspirin while you are doing IUI or IVF? Or have you choosen to take it during your cycle? Ive read a lot on how it can help increase the blood flow and help implantation. My husband and I are on IUI #2 and I have been thinking about giving it a try, but my RE office is hard to get a hold of at times and I didnt really want to bother then with a question about aspirin.
Thanks Ladies! and Lucky Baby Dust to you all!!
Re: Baby Aspirin...
I have Graves disease (even though I have been treated and now have a normal thyroid level). My RE said that I would take it when I start IUI. Something to do with the immune system and antibodies and how it can help with implantation. I honestly don't remember! That said, I would not take it unless your doc. recommends it. Just call them again and ask. Good luck.

Pregnant with Baby #3
CP#1: March 2011
BFP: June 2011; DD born Feb 2012!
CP#2: February 2013
BFP: March 2013; DS born Nov 2013!
Baby #3 due: August 15, 2017
I asked my nurse about taking a baby aspirin and she said it was fine. It wasn't something I had to take, but they weren't against it either.
I'd also read a lot about how it can help and figured it was worth trying it.

I started taking it a couple of weeks ago. It is one of the additions my RE made to my next IVF cycle.
It has been rec'd for me since my PAI1 levels are elevated.
Make sure to clear with your RE, as some do not recommend it without indication, and there is a time frame when to stop taking it and stop taking it relative to your procedures.
You should clear ANY and ALL medication and supplements with your RE, even OTC ones. They are professionals and need to know if you are doing anything that may effect their treatment. This is not an issue of being bothersome.
