DH and I keep changing our minds about names, but he is currently hung-up on this one. Thoughts? We don't want a "trendy" name, but we also don't want a name that makes them sound like they were born 100 years old.... I go back and forth on this name, so thought I would get an outside opinion.

Thanks! I'm really trying to warm up to it more. BTW, love the name Camille. It is my middle name and I have always loved it!

You can spell it with or without the "H". Whether or not someone uses the H is personal preference.

I love the name Norah (and I prefer it with the H, probably because as someone mentioned earlier I'm a Sarah with an H). The first thing I think of when I hear this name is Norah Jones, and she's just a young, pretty, talented person that I think she rejuvenated the name.
I do like Norah as a nn for Eleanor or another longer name, however I do feel that it stands very well on its own.
This name is becoming way too popular in my opinion.
That's like saying Mallory has an unnecessary L, and Melissa has an unnecessary S. It can go either way.
I like it a lot.
DH really likes Eleanor with the nn Nora.
Christ, it's not like she is spelling it Norrahh.
I love the name and I prefer it to be spelled Norah. But that is my personal preference and the name can go either Nora or Norah with no unnecessry letters found in either name!
I love it. It is def. on our list, but I'm afraid it is becoming too popular. I like it with the h when it is going to be a stand alone name and without the h when it is a nn for Eleanor or Honora. I think we would probably use Eleanor/Nora, but I'm still considering. I generally like the "popular" girl names, but wish I could find something as uncommon as my boys' names (Reed and Pierce).
I don't want them to have fairly unique names and a daughter to be one of many.
vegan mama, military wife
I love the name Norah, basically the only girl name I do like.
