ner: when will my hair stop falling out?

I knew from being prego with ds that my hair would fall out around the 3-month mark, but with dd it seems excessive -- clumps on the brush, in the shower, randomly on the bedroom floor and pillow. I even found a few in dd's diaper this moring from when I changed her in the middle of the night.

Am I just not remembering right, when does this stop happening?

  • Honestly - mine fell out from like 3/4 months until around 7 months. I swore it was never going to end. I don't know how I have any hair left!

Just get used to brushing your bathroom floor!

  • My hair quit w/ Korra at 18 months.  Sooner w/ Xavian.  I wonder if has something to do with hormones from carrying a girl?

  • At least you got the thicker hair. Mine is stil as stringy and gets greasy the same day I wash it.
  • My endocrinologist said it can take the body up to two years to recover from a pregnancy.  Sorry.

    :(

  • mine started at 3 months and stopped at 6 months - i had 2 really thin spots by my temples but now it's growing back strong - i think everyone is different
  • Still going dtrong at 7.5 months here.  Poor dh, it's his job to unclog the shower drain....

  • Mine is getting less ... but it was horribly bad for a while.

My DH got so annoyed ... my hair is really long.  Hmm

  • I have really long hair too -- I was so freaked out at how much I lost!!  Mine started around 2-3 mos and has just started to slow down.  I'm still losing it like crazy but I've always been a shedder.  It's really obnoxious, isn't it??  I am SOOO sick of finding long dark hairs all over the place and every time ds crawls across the floor he comes up with at least one long strand in each hand, even after I just swept/vaccumed! Gross! Smile
  • Mine just stopped falling out in gobs in the past few weeks. I'm back to about normal now.
