My DH and I were talking about baby names last night and we both really like Harper. The MN is going to be Ruth which is my mom's MN so that is a given.
I'm just looking for options about whether or not Harper Ruth sounds too old fashioned. What do you ladies think?
TIA!

Thanks for the input ladies!
The popularity aspect bothers me. When I was pregnant with DS we were Team Green and he would have been Olivia if he were a girl. We've totally crossed Olivia off the list now because of how popular it is.

Exactly what I'm trying to avoid haha! I have a very common FN that screams early 80's. My DS's name is common but at least it's classic.
Agree.

My puppie's name is Harper so of course i LOVE it! I wanted to name our child that, but I didn't want to wait to use the name.. haha
I agree with this. Ruth is nice.
Well I guess I have some more research to do! I had no idea how trendy Harper was.
Back the drawing board... Maybe Hazel or Harlow...
Thanks for the input ladies!
Harper is def not old-fashioned, it's becoming increasingly popular.
Ruth is a nice mn with Harper.

I really like Hazel Ruth. Harper is too trendy as PP have said, but Harlow is a name that just doesn't so right to me for some reason (Harlem? Harlot?)
Harlow = trendy
Hazel = old fashioned
I love Hazel
