Turned Down a Placement

We were offered a sibling set yesterday ages 9(girl) and 4(boy). The situation however was really not what we were looking for. They had been in an unlicensed kinship care situation. Kids have been in care since May 2009, and mom has made no progress or effort in her reunification plan.  They are just now considering filing for TPR, but the Ongoing Case Manager is hoping that removing the kids from the family will be what she needs to work towards her plan.

It's just too messy for us. At least this means we are being considered for placements now.

I am glad that atleast you know now that you are being considered for placements!!!!!  You have to do what's right for you and your family, hopefully the right situation will come along soon!  GL!
