I usually wear high cut briefs. The nice seamless ones I have have lasted a REALLY long time, so long that I can't find them anymore (both VS and Soma brands) at least not in my size.
I went to Target thinking I'd pick up some cheap underwear for this pregnancy and left with my head spinning. No maternity underwear that I could find. I assumed that since every other style of underwear comes in "low-rise" that I'd be able to find "low-rise briefs." Guess who feels like an asss?
I just want some undies that cover my whole butt but are either lower so they go under the belly without bunching or actual maternity style (which are kind of a last resort as I hated things on my tummy with DD.)
HALP :' (
Re: I don't know how to buy underwear anymore
I'm almost tempted to go back to thongs. I gave them up when I gained weight because they were too uncomfortable. At least I wouldn't feel like half my butt was hanging out of my underwear (since it all would be.) And I know those come in low rise.

Meh, I've never been less than at least 40lbs overweight and I always wear them. As long as they're the right size they're comfortable IMO.
My theory is my butt is big enough without drawing extra attention to it with panty lines. Plus they give me wedgies which I NEVER get with thongs.
Can I ask what brand you prefer? I don't think I'll be able to do VS again - those were the ones that cut in too much and it showed through my clothes.
Ditto. And I love GapBody for panties. They're soft, comfy and last a long time.
I honestly find thongs the most comfortable while pregnant.
Hanes. They have made it pre-prgnancy, pregnancy, and post pregnancy. I will never go back. They fit nicely under my pregnant belly, and never hit my C scar.
These and These.
This. Except the microfiber ones are my favorite. They don't have a waistband so no lines, and they are ridiculously comfy. I know Wal-Mart carries them. These used to be my bloated feeling underwear and they've now become a staple.
I was just thinking about my love for the mesh undies postpartum... it's a thought.

Good thing I have one for BPF
Thanks for the links Bun, and the other suggestions ladies. I think the hardest part is - being larger it's hard to know where to buy them. I've tried Lane Bryant undies before and didn't like the fit, but I think I'll try the boyshorts there. I already can't stand waistbands on my tummy. They itch too much.
I love LB undies..but you have to get the right fit. DON'T get the ones with the lacey/ruffly edges..cute? yes Comfy? Not so much. I like the ones with the cotton trimmed elastic in the low rise bikini brief style (not string) while pregnant. They are my fave because they cover my arse and fit the bottom part of the belly (they stretch) but don't come up halfway to the belly button without slipping down. I can't stand anything within a few inches of my BB (jeans, undies, ANYTHING) due to scar tissue in my BB from having my gall bladder out. One of my wierd quirks.
This is perfect! I was just on the website looking and the boyshorts look like they won't cover my ass or will ride up. I think I'll go to the mall today and look at the low rise brief style. It's just to hard to judge online, especially for size.
that is what I recommend. i have a few of their boy shorts..and i like them....they are great in the belly area but they are cut a little wierd in the back and depending on what you wear with them can ride up a bit in the arse (and can feel a little loose in the crotch..they cut them wierd imo). I like to sleep in the boy shorts though but for every day wear LB lr bikini briefs are the way to go! GL!
I wear like, Hanes briefs, the ones that come in multiple packages for cheap? I also buy the cheap underwear that they have in bins at target. I'm not picky.
The regular low rise briefs have been fine for me so far in pregnancy, they hit just below where the belly is.
I get the cheap Hanes or Fruit of the Loom, low-rise bikini, I think. Like someone else said, I wore them pre-preg, during pregnancy, and now. You can't beat $5.99 for 7 pairs of underpants!
