Sophie came with crackin' feet

I got the giraffe to put in LO's Easter basket and the feet have a good bit of paint coming off right out of the box. I know it is food paint and all that but is this normal or am I needing to do a return?

If it was cracking I would return it, Ive seen it rub off from wear but not crack...

Our sophie didn't have any paint issues.  I'd probably return just in case.
