Can't catch my breath

It's the strangest thing. Sometimes out of nowhere, I'll feel out of breath. The only thing I can do to make myself feel better is lie down on my side. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yep! And the more you think about it, then your heart starts beating faster. I've actually had several episodes and Dr said it was the way the baby was laying and the uterus was pushing down on my IVC. He said to lay on my side or get onto all 4s to relieve the pressure

I feel the same way and have for many weeks.  I'd imagine with twins i would be even worse!

That can be braxton hicks. Next time see if your belly is all tight; if so that's probably what it is.
