Femara?? Anyone??

Hi ladies,

I am on my first medicated cycle and it's Femara cd3-7 and ovidrel shot when RE tells me to.  My question is this, Did you start feeling a kind of "heaviness" or achiness in your lower abdomen around cd10-11?  I don't go in to my RE until Saturday for an u/s and my OPK's haven't given me a positive yet, but I'm really uncomfortable and am wondering if this is from the Femara? I'm on pins and needles waiting for Saturday to see if this is working so I know I'm looking for any sign right now that it is.  I just have never felt like this before and the only thing different in my life right now is that I took the Femara.

TIA for listening (reading?) and any thoughts you may have.

I hope everyone's doing well.

  • Maybe you have a couple of good sized follies in there and that is causing the heaviness!

  • Yes, I think I did, a little bit.  I had very few reactions to the Femara but when I stopped taking it (i.e. for this last cycle) I did notice that I felt "lighter" in the general area, so I think I was probably feeling what you are without quite knowing it.  Certainly I was aware that I didn't really feel like doing twists in yoga (which you're not supposed to do in any case).

  • MrsMcIrish, that is absolutely what I'm hoping is going on!!

lhcooper, thank you!  I was almost starting to wonder if I was going crazy.  I haven't had any other side effects that I've noticed.  Just this heaviness.  And, I definitely do not feel like getting on the treadmill.

I can't wait until Saturday to see if it's actually working or just making me feel weird. lol
