Free calorie calculator?

I'm looking to send a friend a couple of links to check out.  She's changed her eating habits but still isn't losing weight.  I suggested she might be consuming more calories than she thinks so she wants to try tracking them for a little. 

She doesn't want to pay for WW but I thought maybe something like myfitnesspal or sparkpeople would help but I don't have experience with either?  Maybe something better?
