Emerson dislocated Landry's elbow yesterday afternoon "being helpful" and trying to roll her from stomach to back.
Five hours later in the ER Landry stopped crying when they popped it back in place. It was a nightmare. Landry is such an easy going baby and has never, ever cried more than a slight yell in her life.
Thinking about the things to come, blow my mind at this point. ::::sigh::::
Re: Her body went one way and her arm, the other....it was slow motion watching it.
Poor baby, but I'm glad she's feeling better.
Hang in there - accidents are bound to happen!
ooh, that sucks.
be extra careful with your kids arms... some kids are more prone to disloating elbows... my niece was like that, and so was I. My dad dislocated mine just playing with me... and my niece used to have her's pop out ALL THE TIME - the slightest thing would do it.
i'm super anal about making sure i grab them under their armpits at all times b/c of it.
hopefully it was a fluke and won't happen again!!
Goldie-I took Landry to the pedi this morning just to double check and make sure everything was good. All the doctors between last night and this evening have said it would happen again. They have all showed me how to pop it back in place. I'm ready-I think.
She's such a sweet, good natured baby....born at 4 lbs and now, 18 lbs-She's a trooper! Perhaps, at some point, she'll catch a break (in a good way). :" )
Yikes, poor little girl! Glad she's better!

I'm so sorry. (having spent a night in the pedi ER last month) it is so stressful. Hugs for Emerson and Landry. I'm sure it scared big sister, and hope miss Landry is feeling good and has lots of smiles today).
My niece Morgan, ....sister told me anytime she would have a hold of her wrist... if she pulled away against her, she would dislocate her elbow. My sis has 4 kids, but only Morgan would have the dislocation happen now and then. ((HUGS))
