Did ayone hear this story> Barefoot Contessa...

I know a lot of bumpies like her - but after this story, I can't help but feel that she's jerky.

Re: Did ayone hear this story> Barefoot Contessa...

  • I read it on TMZ. TMZ did a story on Maxim, or whatever his name is on DWTS. There is a woman who has cancer and loves the show. he's giving her the VIP treatment at the show. The TMZ story had a zinger about people finding time fir what's really important.

Can't help but think that's a dig on the Barefoot. How popular IS she that she can't find one day for him to hang around?

  • I've never been a huge fan of her and this story is the nail in the coffin for me. I understand people are busy but come on!

  • I also read last night on my E! app on my phone that she did contact him and that he will be going onto her set of Barefoot Contessa. It will be outside Make a Wish now and a personal thing from her b/c Make A Wish moved on and is having him go swim with Dolphins instead. Let me see if I can find a link or something...

  • That's all great and well that she invited him but if I were his parents, I'd feel like she's only doing it because of the negative press she has received since turning him down, twice.

I also heard that Jennifer Garner loves her and tried to contact her about visiting her kitchen.  She was snubbed as well.

  • I'm sure she gets hundreds of charity requests per year and I'm sure it's hard to accommodate all of them.

Jennifer Garner wasn't snubbed, she expressed interest in being on the show and Ina told her that she really only has her close friends on. I really don't think it's a big deal.

So you're on TV and getting ratings but you only allow your friends???  Way to market and network. Confused

  • Reading the story it sounds like she only learned of it this past weekend?  Maybe her handlers have been telling Make-a-wish no?

    ditto.

I know I don't give to every charity flyer that comes to my house.  and I wouldn't have time to agree to every volunteer opportunity thrown my way.  it sucks for the kid though.

and I'm not a "fan" . I do have one cookbook that I got before I knew she had a show. I don't watch her show.

oh please.  celebrities aren't owed a spot on her show just b/c they are celebs either.  her show is about cooking... not a talk show, right?  I don't watch it, but my understanding is it's not the rachael ray show .

Um, yes. It's her show and it's about her and her lifestyle. It's not a celebrity cooking show. Same with Giada deLaurentiis. She has her friends and family on her show. Not random celebrities. Same with a lot of Food Network chefs actually.
