My vote is for Grant, but more for the best of the worst more then anything.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I understand all the names cannot work for everyone. If we chose vanilla names, we wouldnt be "us." I see too many Sebastians, Owens, Graydens, etc.
There are plenty of "rocky road" flavor names that are not so horrid as Jett and Blaise.

Hudson is rising in popularity fast...I wouldn't be surprised if it's the next "Owen". Grant and Cash are also not exactly unique or special names. Both are miles ahead of Greyden in terms of popularity.
It seems like your style is pretty trendy? There's nothing wrong with that, I just don't want you to think that you're being unique, because I don't think any of these names fit that at all.

You actually do have me laughing out loud. Horrid is a bit strong, but whatever. I'm not naming your kid, so maybe tone done the nasty?
You asked my opinion, I find them horrid.

I'm not sure I would call it trendy, but I def like names that are outside the norm or names that won't make my child 1 of 2 or more in the class.
When I was looking at names, I used the Census' from years past, nymbler and a few other sites. It seemed like none of those names were in the top 100, Maybe, except for Hudson or Grant? I'll have to go back and check. Blaise, Jett and Cash had very low frequency. I think less than 200 per million babies born? Some could say that speaks to how bad they are, but thats ok too.
I appreciate the time taken to vote and to leave a comment - even the ones that came out swinging. I appreciate the passion even if I dont understand the venom. Thanks again!
Grant was on our short list last time. So that's what I chose. I didn't love Hudson at first. But one of my friends has a son she named Hudson and he's such a cutie that it grew on me. Not a fan of the others.

Please envision yourself meeting a colleague or even a boss and think about what your reaction would be as they said "Hi, my name is ___".
Grant is fine, Hudson... eh, not as fine, but not bad.
But the others? If someone introduced themselves to me as Blaise, I might LOL and think "what the hell were his parents thinking?".

pretty standard names....what about these as alternatives...
Blaine
or
Holden
or
Carson
or
Greysen
I love Hudson and would use it for this baby...except we live literally ON the Hudson River.
I never liked Jett until I got to meet a sweet little guy named Jett whose sister was going through Chemo. It will forever be a name I love now.
Your siggy is horrible.
Thank you, everyone!
