Infertility

**drake986**

I just wanted to let you know that I just started going to FCI Hoffman Estates last month. Do you see Dr. Feinberg or Dr. Nani? We see Dr. Feinberg and I love her so far. We've only had one appt. and we have our 2nd/IVF consult on Nov. 4th. I can't wait. :) How do you like them so far? How long have you been going there?

  • Hey there!

Today was our 1st appt and we're seeing Dr. Nani, but also in Hoffman Estates!  I'm seeing Dr. Nani because I was told she specializes in PCOS.  I'm optimistic about everything, but still kinda skeptical.  Just want to get started already! :)  We've waited almost 2 years, and now have to wait another month.  I guess it's all for the best, so I'm ok with it, I'm just anxious to get started... :)

We were actually told that if I over-respond to the gonal f that we're going straight to IVF.  Have you done IVF yet?  Did you do inj. IUI's?  What were you on?

  • As far as we know, we are just dealing with fairly severe MFI (3.9 to 5.3 mil/mL). So they pretty much said IVF is our only choice. We do have 80%insurance coverage but we don't want to start IVF before next year so that we don't have to pay our deductible and co-insurance twice, in case our first IVF fails. So unfortunately we have to wait until the beginning of the year to start IVF. I'm going to ask if there's any chance with IUI, and depending on what they say maybe try an IUI this year. But if they say it's not worth it, we won't. What suburb do you live in? I grew up in HE and work in Palatine now. But I'm living in Rockford....far drive I know!
