Birthday invite question. (NTR)

DD is having a pool party at the local kid's gym for her birthday.  The party is on Saturday, April 16th.  She's taking invites to school to pass out to her class.  To get the best RSVP results, when should I send the invites to school?  On Monday before the party (which is her actual bday) or sometime the week before?

I don't want to send them so late that no one comes because they have plans already, but I also don't want to send them so early that the invite gets lost around the house and no one rsvps.

Re: Birthday invite question. (NTR)

  • I say 2 weeks early but most times people NEVER RSVP, it is so annoying!

  • I always send invites 4 weeks out but I know that's on the early side. I'd do 3 weeks. Make sure to put your email address. I think I get more RSVP's that way.

  • If possible you should have your kid give it to the parents.  I know at my school a lot of parents hang out before school so you can do it then.  I also suggest you ask the parents for their phone number.  My co-worker had the RSVP problem recently for her kid's 7th birthday.

  • I would send the invite before, but collect the responses on Monday (birthday). I would ask the teachers to put up a sheet and write LO's or mom's names (if you know them) if they are going to go.

  • I always send out the invites as least one weekend before the party, so I would send them out the week before her actual birthday.  I always give the parents a weekend to shop for a card or present.
