Do you still warm up LO's bottle?

DS doesn't like cold milk so i warm it just enough that its not too cold or too warm. He especially doesn't like it if he wants to take a nap.

  • No, he drinks it just find cold. I gradually stopped before we switched to milk, I didn't want him to get used to warm milk because we are out and about a lot and it's not always feasible to have the option of warming it.

  • DD will take it cold.  She doesn't really care anymore.  We still warm her night time bottle just cuzz WE think it relaxes her.

  • Yes, DS still doesnt like cold milk. He has reflux, so I think the coldness upsets his stomach still. When we go out, we just bring water.

  • It's annoying, but yes my DS prefers his milk warmed slightly.  I gave him all that good body temp breast milk and room temp formula, so I guess that's where it all started.  He will drink it cold but rarely and not very much of it.  It's not as annoying as some habits a kid could have I guess.  We have been gradually making the sippys of milk less warm and know that eventually he'll drink it cold without issue.

  • DS only gets one or two bottles per day, usually just one before his nap. He won't drink milk from a bottle cold so we do warm it. He will drink it cold from a sippy cup though... go figure.

  • My daughter will only drink milk if it's warmed (to about room temp) and in a bottle. It's very frustrating. She does great drinking from a soft spout sippy, straw, hard spout sippy, etc., but will only drink water or watered down juice from a sippy cup. If I put milk in her cup, she takes two sips and says "done." I can't get her to touch the sippy after the two sips.

So, for now, she gets a warmed bottle in the morning before daycare and a warmed bottle in the evening, about 10 minutes before bed. I plan on kicking this habit this summer, when I'll be a SAHM from June to the beginning of August.
