sunblock on your head??

Ok, so my little guy starts "swim lessons" next week and it is in an outdoor pool for 30 minutes.  Normally when we're outdoors I have him wear a little sun hat, but for the pool he will need to be bare headed to go under water.  He has fair skin and hair and not a ton of hair, so I feel like he needs sunblock on his head.  Do I just put the regular sunblock lotion all over his head and hair?  It seems like it will be kind of weird to do that but I don't know what else to do.  Any suggestions?

Re: sunblock on your head??

  • DS is also fair and almost bald. I put sunblock on his head. It makes his hair greasy, but I give him a bath afterward anyway because of the chlorine.

  • Or you could do a swim cap. You would still need to put sunscreen on his face and ears (I have gotten sunburned on my ear once. It sucks like you wouldn't believe).
