We leave for Disney tomorrow afternoon and A has no idea. She just knows I'm on vacation from work and we're going "somewhere." It's taking all I have not to tell her but I really want it to be a surprise. I keep having mini-freakouts about taking her by myself (right, Kori?) but I am looking forward to it. Just hoping the rain stays away.

I would LOVE to be able to pull that surprise on my kids like they do in the commercials.  BUT, DD is such a little busy body, she would know stuff was missing out of her closet (we fly out in the early early a.m., so I'd have to pack prior).  Plus, since we've gone the past 2 years, she just totally knows what's going down.  I usually put up a paper countdown chain for them and I am thinking of maybe having them start it a few days late so that it still says we have a week or so to go and then it'll be a little bit of a surprise!  Can you tell how much I've overthought this??

ANYWAY, have so much fun!  Going to Disney is just as much for me as for them because it is just so fun to see them so happy!

Thanks. I'm going to try my best to go & forget about everything else for a while. She's almost busted me a few times when I've been online but I played it off. Lol. I'm out getting the suitcase she just happened to ask for last week (princesses of course) and am going to pack after she goes to bed. I'll hide it in my closet until we're ready to go ... hopefully. J*W*, I'm a big kid and love it. This will be the gaziliionth time I've been since I worked there in college and the third time I've been there for my birthday. It never gets old. Hope you all have fun and hope you get to go soon, X!

That's an awesome surprise!  You guys will have a blast.  And don't worry about taking her on your own.  What a special time you will have together, just the two of you.  I would love to take one of my boys on my own, just me and him.  I think the memories will last a lifetime and it would be so fun for her to pick exactly what she wants to do and have the trip be all about her.  Have fun!

That is the best! You have to post pics of her face when you tell her! There is a Disney commercial that has videos of kids being surprised w/ Disney trips by their parents, and it gets me every time! Have a blast. I worked at Disney in college, and the rain can actually be a decent time to go because so Manu people leave = no/short lines.

Veloelle, I love those commercials. Yeah, I worked at MK one summer and did the CP at DAK (attractions) the next. Heck, I met A's dad in Adventureland! Lol. Trading airline and Disney stories would be a blast ... non-stop material. Thanks everyone.
