Babies: 9 - 12 Months

bb still in infant carseat- convertible recs?

we switched my dd to a convertible carseat at age  8 months...

my son is almost 11 months and i have him in the infant seat..STILL!  he falls asleep so easily in it so i am hesitant to make the switch.  he is almost 21 lbs so i probably should soon -

but i am looking for recs on reclining convertible carseats that will keep him cozy and able to fall asleep on long car rides!

any recommendations appreciated!

  • I have the Evenflo Titan Elite and it is only around 100 bucks, super comfy microfoam, reclines, easy to adjust the straps, and RF up to 35 pounds (FF up to 50). My DS falls asleep so fast in it and loves sitting up a bit.

  • We got the Evenflo Symphony 65. It reclines and LO is able to sleep just fine in it. I love that she can use it rear facing for like ever and then front facing it converts into a booster so it will be the last seat we buy. We bought just one for my car, DH uses the infant seat to transport LO in the snow so if he falls in the ice she is beyond protected. We will be getting a second Symphony for his car in May, and another Evenflo for daycare in August.
  • We have a Britax Boulevard in my car and an Evenflo Triumph LX in DH's.  The harness is really secure in DH's, but I feel like she's crunched over more, even though it's at the correct angle.  On the whole, I like the Britax better.  DD has no problem sleeping in it, and the head support thingy helps her get comfy when she naps, which is a lot.

We have this seat as well.  It's great.  DS is very comfortable in it (falls asleep most rides) and it installs very easy.  You can adjust the strap height just by sliding them up and down and it uses the LATCH system to attach to the car which makes installation really easy.  It also can be used for a long time- I'm pretty sure it becomes a booster seat but I could be wrong.
