who else can not stop shopping?

since finding out the sexes i think i have ordered clothes almost every day this week for the twins.  im trying to at least space it out and not get only newborn sizes, but dh is no help - i tell him that im thinking about getting thing x and he's like "if it makes you happy, you should do it.  you know we can afford it"

the boys are going to be the best dressed members of the family

Re: who else can not stop shopping?

  • We are team green and don't have our anatomy scan until Monday, anyway. But I can not stop buying cloth diapers. Every time I say I'm done, I buy another one. I'm completely addicted. I've bought them all on sale, but still, I'm up to 14, I think. It's really time to stop, because they are mostly newborn and small, so I have a decent starter stash at this point.

Other than that I bought some fabric to have my crib skirt and some window valances made.

wow - your DH is so not mine! We could have a million bucks laying around and I still don't think he'd have that attitude!

  • Lol! I'm guilty.

My husband says the same thing.. not to mention he randomly buys cute dresses that "he can see his little girl in".. coming from the man who originally thought he wouldn't know what to do with a little girl.. lol!

    Married: 3/01/08
    Baby Girl: 7/29/11
    Angel Baby: M/C 7/15/14 at 7wk
    BFP: 8/23/14 - Due 4/28/15  - It's a BOY!
  • I'm the opposite - I can't shop! We already have a girl so I just got out all her old clothes and organized them, and we have TOO MANY outfits from sizes newborn to 18 months. It is ridiculous how much this baby already has. And my sister-in-law is giving us my niece's clothes too. And people are already getting us more as gifts. I tried to order something cute online the other day, and I couldn't bring myself to do it because we just have way too much. The only thing we need is a changing table... and that's not necessarily very fun to buy. It's a good problem to have though, so I'm not complaining.

Now if this baby were a boy, things would be completely different... Wink

my dh is very conservative with big purchases (for example bought a smaller house we will have paid off in a couple of years), but he doesn't care about the little things here and there.  im the one who gets all worried about those :)

I'm trying not to - DD1's clothes should be the perfect size for #2 and in the right season and I'm so freaking over pink. THough it's way cuter when it's a teeny tiny little version.

i love the picture of your daughter, she looks so cute :)

  • I've been buying the bigger things, because I really don't want anyone to buy anything for the baby shower my SIL is throwing (if they choose to buy clothes or whatever, that's fine, but I'm certainly not asking for anything). I save a lot of money by shopping around and using coupons on amazon, though.

MY doesn't help with my problem, either. Usually he's really anal about spending money, but I think he's a little excited... he has even done some baby shopping on his own (it may mostly involve Steelers and Penguins, but it still counts, right? :D)

I'm going to inherit clothes from my sister and SIL too but that doesn't stop me Embarrassed I haven't bought a ton - just a few things here and there that I really like that will be "ours" as opposed to hand me downs.

Now maternity clothes on the other hand...I've got to stop buying those and remind myself that I don't need a mat wardrobe as big as my regular one! It doesn't help that most of what I bought is for spring/summer and now it's in the 40s here so I've had to buy more pants.
