When we sit on his rocker and I rock him before putting him to bed at night, I turn off the lights. As soon as I do, he looks up and starts to smile and laugh and squeal. But he's not looking at me. He's looking to the side of me and up, as if someone was standing next to me making faces at him. He does this for ten straight minutes!
So yeah, we have a ghost who loves to entertain my baby. At least it's a nice ghost.
Re: My LO is starting to creep me out...
That would honestly freak me out...
I babysat for a family the had a 6 yr old girl with Cerebral Palsy (non-verbal), a 4 yr old boy and a 3 yr old girl. One night the 4 yr old asked "why did that lady just walk into Nina's room?" when I asked him what lady, he said "the one in white." I also KNOW i heard a door open and shut downstairs. When the parents came home, I asked if the kids every talked about ghosts and they admitted that their house was haunted! It was a hospital during the Battle of Brandywine. They think the ghosts watch over the 6 yr old, b/c she is "sick".
Yeah, I literally couldn't babysit there again after that. scary.

Yeah, that would creep me out too. Good choice on declining further babysitting jobs there.
My baby has been staring at something and sometimes making a little half smile while he does it for a few weeks. I always tell him to tell the angels I said hi.
I wouldn't go back either! I have heard that kids are more "open" to seeing spirits/ghosts.
@ Jilly- well at least it's a nice spirit.
MH's uncle and wife and his bil and wife went to Paris a few years ago and both bought a painting from a street painter there. He painted a very serene landscape picture of what looks like just an old building with lots of spring flowers. I had heard from from mh's uncle' wife that her brother threw away his painting because his little boy was talking to it (3 yr old). At first the boy said someone nice was talking to him from the painting and then one day he just screamed that the nice person wasn't there anymore and it was a mean person now. So of course, they decided to throw it away and not have that drama. Well, last month we were over at mh's uncle and aunt's house. Our baby was happy as can be. Then we needed to change his diaper and his aunt said to use the den. It was the first time my baby had been into the room and he turned bright red screaming and crying. He was screaming like he did when he got his 2 month shots, so I just held him close and tried to lay him on the couch. Usually when we change his diaper, it's his happiest time (he loves to babble away when he's a exposed). We couldn't stop him from crying and he wouldn't open his eyes. It freaked me out because the other French painting was in that room. I don't know if I believe something evil can be in paintingsbut it reminds me of that book by Stephen King though (about a possessed painting). As soon as I finished changing his diaper and went to another room he was fine. So who knows but I rather not go in that room anymore. ha ha ha...whats up with ghost telling week on the bump this week?
creepy!
MH is convinced DS has a few "friends" in our house, too!
