So im totally having trouble sleeping because im thinking about all the crap i have to do in the next month to get ready! The teacher taking over for me is totally capable but I have so much to do before I leave. Plus I need to do some major cleaning/organizing so she can actually find everything she'll need to teach my 8 year olds. Anyone freaking out??
Re: starting to freak out about maternity leave!!!
I'm not freaking out about maternity leave but I am freaking out about everything else. Like getting the nursery ready (everything has been ordered and we're just waiting on it to get here). DH has to paint but the weather has been so bad here, we're waiting for good weather so we can open some windows and air it out.
I'm a huge planner and need things in order way ahead of time so that's why I'm freaking out a little. My shower is not until 6 weeks before my EDD too and that freaks me out a little because I won't know what I'll need to get until a month or so before she's here.
What works to calm me is making lists of what needs to be done and check things off as you accomplish them. Good luck!!
I am. I have been very busy at my job and for the last week and a half have had an assistant of sorts trying to manage what I need to get done on a daily basis and I am still behind. On top of that June-Sept is the busy time of year so I hate to think about what its going to take to get all of my work done while Im out. (I imagine it will take 3 people to keep everything under control) And our work is time sensitive so its not like it can be pushed to the side it needs to be done as it comes in.

I hear you about concern regarding maternity leave. I have finally successfully gotten a global project moving and when I leave, I'm concerned it is going to run against a wall. Although we are looking for someone to join our team, I'm also having a very difficult time identifying someone that can balance the two needed skill sets and speaks & writes English fluently.
The best I can do at this point is to keep looking for someone and do as much wrap-up and set-up as possible before I leave. Hum.
