Thrush. Third time.

Before I start ranting about repeated thrush, can anyone out there sympathize with me? DD is FF and this is the third time she's had thrush. Poor baby cries when the bottle comes near her mouth. So tired of this!!

  • I can't commiserate, but I do want to say - poor baby. Sad

omg, that sucks. I thought you were going to say yourself getting it for the 3rd time, though. I had it for TWO MONTHS and just now killed it myself. LO had it only very slightly and not in a painful way. My nips and boobs really hurt, though. Still, I felt so glad that it wasn't bothering him. I can only imagine how sad/sucky it is for your child to be in pain!

  • Thanks both. It is very hard to see LO in so much pain. Someone on my local board said that Diflucan was the only thing that finally killed the thrush. I think we're headed that way.

btw that is what worked for me. But I had to have them re-prescribe it to me multiple times. Three times as a single pill. Then twice as a set of 30 pills. I can't believe how long it took. GL!

  • My LC told me that thrush is really hard to get rid of, so when we were dealing with it she told me to boil all his paci, bottels or anything that came into his mouth everytime I wash until the month of treatment was over and then throw away all his bottels and just buy new ones. I know thats very expensive, so maybe if you cant afford that just boil them a few times back to back.
