I have finally hit the -25lbs mark and I'm so very proud of myself. I have a very long way to go before I hit my goal but it feels good to say hey, I'm down 25.
Yes! I've gained 28 lbs since my wedding last June. I'm cringing that I am admitting this and angry that I left it happen. None of my clothes fit. I had to buy some stuff to get through the winter and I know none of my summer stuff will fit. I "joined" Weight Watchers in January but haven't been following it sadly. I'm an emotional eater and I've been so depressed about not getting PG, that I've been eating and I stopped going to the gym. I'm working to fix that and have been eating less/better the past 2 weeks (need to step it up at the gym as well)
DH and I are starting a 10 lb challenge today. Whoever loses 10 lbs first wins (we are still debating the prize). He is 6'5" and should be able to drop 10 lbs WAY faster than me but I wanted to make it interesting as he is a really bad dieter so I can think I can beat him!
Congrats on your 25 lb drop! That is fantastic. Take the loss in intervals so you don't get overwhelmed with bigger numbers. Are you working out and/or what diet plan are you doing?
ETA: I also had 10lbs more on me than I should have at the wedding so my "goal" is to lose 40 lbs total.

I started counting calories on 1/7 and learned a lot about what I had been eating. Since I am a big girl, I am allowing myself 2000 calories a day and I work out almost daily. I learned that weight is going to come off in bigger numbers for me right now because I am so big to begin with. So, losing 100 lbs to me is like losing 50 lbs to most everyone else. My mom said she lost a lot of weight while she was pregnant with me so maybe that will happen for me as well.
For me, weight loss is a huge challenge. I mean, I gained weight for a reason... there are so many tasty foods out there that I enjoy. But, I have been overweight my entire life... I was a born 6 weeks early and still weighted 6.5 lbs. Yikes! It's hard to get a fat person motivated, let me tell ya! It's also really good that my DH is very supportive in my lifestyle changes and is working on being healthier himself. I hope to lose at least another 15 lbs before conception and with the way my cycle is looking right now... it just might happen.
Some things that I was never told would happen when I turned 35:
1.) Chin Hair. Really!!?!? Seriously??
2.) Weight gain.
I've never had a weight problem but have been slowly packing on the pounds for the last couple of years. I've started weight lifting more often and it has helped tremendously.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I try to watch what I eat and exercise when I can. Have been very diligent about my weight since getting married-although, must admit that DH is a poor influence on my dietary choices. Would like to loose about 25#. We walk together when the weather cooperates-and we're hoping that will be more often as spring sets in. Right now our budget is really tight after paying for IVF meds this past cycle, so WW will have to wait for me. Lost alot of weight a number of years ago on Jenny Craig-but their program is also too expensive for our budget right now. Congrat and so happy for your milestone!!!

I am an emotional eater and put on quite a bit of weight immediately after our wedding. We went through some sh*tty stuff right away and all the weight I lost for our wedding came right back on + more. I was so disappointed in myself. After we fixed the issues, I trained for and completed an Ironman triathon. Again the weight came off. As we jumped on the TTC horse, the stress and emotional toll took its course, and sure enough I've put it all + more back on. After losing our baby this weekend, I found myself comfort eating yet again.
I'd love to lose the weight while we are TTA so I'm back at the weightloss program of portion control, frequent gym workouts and staying away from cookies/cupcakes/frozen yogurt. Without those its so much easier for me (duh!) LOL
