So DH has a history of not helping with planning/making decisions. So they I just take it upon myself and get stuff done cause it has to. He waits until I have a decision made, things bought, etc to then give his freaking opinion/start to do research.
Case and point this morning he tells me he left articles up on the computer for me to look at some time today. The articles are on digital baby monitors and how the electromagnetic field is bad for babies. He's all of a sudden gotten it into his head that he doesn't want to use the sensor pad for our baby monitor. I think it's because when I'm sleep deprived in the middle of the night I sometimes forget to turn it off before picking little one up which sets the alarm of. So I don't know if he tried to find articles as a way to say we have to stop using it. But it just pisses me off that I had to twist his arm to go pick out baby stuff with me/I had to do all the research (safety, etc) and now he's changing his mind. We could have gotten a lot cheaper monitor if we're not going to use the sensor pad. It drives me crazy!! It usually ends up with more work for me.
I don't know how many times he's complained about not being able to find something in LO's room. And I've told him multiple times that I would be happy to go through her room with him/show him where things are (since I'm the one that organized it). But what would he rather do??? Just keep b*tching about it. I'm this close to blowing a gasket next time and say well if you would have help set up her room you'd know where things were!
AHHHH ok vent over and trying to move on.
Re: I hate when DH does this... (vent)
My DH does this as well. He waits til the last minute or later, after I've done all the research at his request. We had decided on DD's name about 2 months before she was due. The day after the birth, the nurse asked if we had chosen a name, DH said not yet, then proceeded to use his laptop to search baby name websites for the next 2 days!! Yeah, it stayed the same name we had initially chosen.
