I saw in your post that you have a sailboat featured in your signature. Do you sail? What kind of sailboat do you have and how long is it? Will you sail with the babies as infants? How do you plan on keeping them safe as an infant and as a toddler.

Sorry for all the questions but my husband is an avid sailor and wants the whole family to sail with him. We have two toddlers and two month old twins. I am of course nervous about taking the kids on the boat.

Hi! We do sail but we don't own our own boat. We live in NYC so we belong to a sail "club" that works sort of like a time share. We can use any of the sailboats in the club, we just need to book in advance. We generally book smaller sailboats because I'm not really a sailor, although I lend a hand.

I can understand why you are nervous about having your kids on the boat, especially because sailboats can be difficult to control sometimes (or at least that is our experience).  My husband wants to buy a sailboat and has visions of us spending the summer on it but I nipped that idea in the bud because I'm too anxious about babies on boats. I told him that when the boys are old enough we will enroll them in sailing camp and that seemed to placate him for now.
