Hi! I don't normally post on this board, but thought you DC folks could help!
I'm just curious if anyone has gone to Pulling Down the Moon in Rockville?
They are partnered with Shady Grove Fertility Center and provide:
I am thinking about contacting them for info about acupuncture (I am about to start my first cycle of IVF and I hear acupuncture can help reduce the anxiety/stress during IVF and also helps increases your chances, although slight, I'm ready to try just about anything!)
Just curious if anyone has gone there? What you thought? What type of "treatment" did you get? Was it a weekly acupuncture? Or did they only do it the days of egg retrieval? And what were their prices like?
I plan on calling them tomorrow to get some info. But thought I'd post because I'm inpatient!
Since Rockville is a hike, I?ve gotten some info from some other places that are closer to where I live or work. But I?d consider going to Rockville since they do partner with Shady Grove (where I?m being treated).

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
Re: Anyone go to Pulling Down the Moon in Rockville?
I had acupuncture treatments at my chiropractors office during my successful IUI cycle.
He is in Annandale if that's closer for you...

I did not use acupuncture for stress relief during my IVF cycles, but my IF counselor did suggest it. I have a huge fear of needles, so there would be nothing relaxing in that for me. I have heard really good things abou Pulling Down the Moon.
What I did do was get an infertilityspecific counselor/therapist for stress management. She was a lifesaver esp. when the journey got longer and longer. She is in Rockville, but PM if you want her name.
