Totally NBR, but I didn't even know where to start looking.
I am looking for someone who is creative to create a pretty easy logo for me. Ideally, it would be a student or someone who has an interest in graphic design and is trying to build up their portfolio (i.e., I have no money, but could give the person credit for their design.) I am starting a business but am TOTALLY stuck on my logo. I had some ideas, but I am not that great with photoshop.
If you or anyone you know could do this, can you message me?
Re: NBR- Random question, graphic design person?

A good designer (even a student designer) is not going to do free work for you. It's kind of insulting to even ask that.
In fact, similar questions/requests are frequently made fun of by designers. Example: https://clientsfromhell.net/post/362070944/were-looking-for-a-high-exposure-designer-for
And that person was offering $25! lol.

I don't think you are going to have luck with getting someone to work for free. HP offers free online classes for computer programs. Maybe you could try that route or learn photoshop. Good luck.

ETA: I apparently don't know how to PM....did it before but cannot figure it out. If you can, PM me, I may be able to help.
It's funny that you say that as I used to work at a university and we always had students wanting to design stuff for our department. I know that some professors had them seek out projects and wouldn't allow them to take payment for it.
Yeah, I would never ask a professional to do it for free, I just remember on the wedding planning boards (way back when) there were people who would design logos and such for others just for fun.
In my camera bag:
Well, at my university they taught us (us being graphic design students) to never, ever do work for free. Not even as a student. Our time = money in this profession. I geuss what I'm trying to say is, you can probably find someone to do a logo for you, but it's not going to be good quality work. Unless some sucker really is willing to give out their time for free.
I hope I didn't come off as rude, I didn't mean to. It's just that so many people think that what I do is "easy" or that they're doing me a favor by offering to boost my portfolio. Heck, people ask me to do free work now and I've been out of school for years.
