You say you got married at TI... can I ask you what you did exactly?
For instance, did you have guests, or just the two of you? Did you have a reception? Any details you want to share
We are considering getting married in LV, but cannot decide between that or a beach wedding.
Re: ::TobioLoves::
Hey there,
Sorry I'm just now getting a chance to respond. (Busy morning!) I totally loved my wedding and I'm always happy to tell people about it.
We had our wedding ceremony in the chapel at TI, and we had a dinner reception at Andre's French restaurant. We did cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a plated dinner, but we skipped most of the other traditional reception activities, like dancing since no one in our families is big on dancing. In between the two events, we did a photo tour of the Strip with our wedding photographer and got some really fun shots at some of the bigger casinos. (The one in the middle of my sig is us at Venetian).
We invited 60 people but only had 24 people. That was the perfect number for me, though, because my DH and I are pretty quiet and I liked being able to spend more time with each person.
I really enjoyed planning a Vegas wedding because you can really have any kind of wedding you want there and the vendors are happy to do anything you ask (whether its traditional or not). I also got a lot more value for the money than I would have with a local wedding here in Florida.
I used to have a really nice wedding bio on the Knot, but when they changed the bio format they erased it all. I still have the graphics I made on photobucket, though, so if you're interested, you're welcome to view them on there. Here are the images and captions (out of order, though, sorry!) and the vendor reviews. (We got married in 2008, though, so I'm not sure if things have changed with any of the vendors we used).
Also, I haven't been on in a year or two, but when I was planning the Vegas board on the Knot was awesome! It was a really fun, friendly group of girls and there was a lot of great info on there. I would definitely give it a try if you're considering Vegas. (It was what hooked me on the knot/nest/bump when I joined four years ago! LOL)
Let me know if I can answer any other questions! GL!
