I have to wake him up at 5:45 every morning to leave the house to take him to ILs while I work. I have an hour commute. On the weekends though he sleeps in until 8.
Your little hands wrapped around my finger and its so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eye lids flutter cause your dreamin so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you've got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have hunny, if you could stay like that
Oh darling dont you ever grow up, dont you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling dont you ever grow up dont you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I wont let nobody hurt you, wont let no one break your heart, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
I wake DS in the morning if he sleeps in and we have to take DD to preschool. Similarly, I'll wake him from naps if I have to go to work or to pick up DD.
If he is still napping at 4:30 in the afternoon, I will gently wake him (open the door and the blind and make some noise) so that he'll be ready for bed at a reasonable hour.
I definitely have to wake him more than I ever had to wake DD.
I usually don't have to wake my DD up. She is a light sleeper. Sometimes if I have to take my DH to work since we're having to share a vehicle right now then I have to get both of mine up at 6am. And sometimes if I need to go somewhere and I'm at home, if they are asleep, I will put DD in her carseat, hoping she'll go back to sleep but she usually doesn't.

He wakes up on his own in the morning but I frequently have to wake him up from naps. He will try and take a 2+ hr nap in the morning and 2+ hr nap in the afternoon.

I stay at home so I let him wake up on his own in the mornings which is usually between 7 and 8. Rarely, we'll have to be somewhere early, but I don't wake him until I'm completely ready and all that's left is to get him dressed and fed.
As far as naps go, I let him sleep as long as he wants unless its really late in the afternoon (5pm or after). Then, I'll wake him gently, have dinner, play for a while, and start our bedtime routine.
Unless we have to go somewhere, I let DD wake on her own. She's an early riser in the mornings but sometimes if her naps are off, I have to wake her to get big DD from school.

Don't hate me!
This is torture! I'm an early riser, DH on the other hand wants to stay up all night and wake up late. So far DD is taking after Daddy.
