What type of flooring do you have?

I am putting in proclein tile in all the main living areas of my home. The bedrooms will still be carpet.........

For those who have hardwood, laminate, tile, how do you keep lo safe?

I am kind of afraid of her knees on the hard surface. Walking and then falling on the hard surface.

We are putting it in becuase of her bad allergies.

  • We have hardwood floors and just assume DS will get bumps and bruises as he learns.  He quickly learned that bumping his head on the floor hurts and that he should brace himself when he falls while walking.  It's hard to seem him get hurt, but he's not hurt badly (one bloody nose was a little rough, but we made it through).  We do have an alphabet mat in his play corner and some area rugs, but now that he can get to where ever he wants to go, there's no keeping him in those areas.

  • Hardwood.  It sucks, but we have area rugs.

  • We have hardwood in most of the house (tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and carpet in the bedrooms). DS crawls all over the place. He has rough knees but he doesn't seem to mind.
