The blood oximeter went back. I loved that little box, and I am so, so happy to see it go.
I wanted to thank you all for helping me get through an incredibly terrifying and stressful time. You guys were an oasis of support and a vital outlet for me when I was stuck in the hospital, confined to the 4 foot radius of the cords, often unable to use the phone for fear of disturbing the sleeping baby. And you were just as vital in the following months when I felt trapped in my house... unable to leave Isaac for even an hour, dealing with the floods of adrenaline every time the alarm went off, even afraid to turn my head for fear of what I'd see turning back. (Looking back, I think I understand a little bit what post traumatic stress feels like.) Thank you all so much.
What a world of difference a few months make! We have had no incidences for 5 months (!), and if we go seizure free for a year we can take him off the meds.
