We have to supplement BM with formula and use the playtex nurser drop ins with the slow flow nipples. We started with the nipples that attach to the pre-made formula bottles, but these seem much better.
?Also... FWIW...Our LC also showed us a special way of feeding so that not too much milk would come out at once. (Basically just not tilting the bottle up). It looks like they get a lot of air, but that helps to keep them sucking instead of getting it all shoved down their throat when they aren't used to it. HTH!

we have always used bottes by "The First Years" called breast flow bottles. They simulate breastfeeding with a let down and all. They are awesome and I have never had any trouble with them.
We had to try several different types before we found one that DS would take....he likes the NUK bottles. I guess because the nipple was shapped more the the breast.
If you're breastfeeding also you should try a bottle with a wider nipple on it. Then it will seem more like a breast while he's eating. Or sometimes babys get picky about what kind of nipple you use like clear or the brown kind. Good Luck.
We started introducing at 3 weeks...you're a little behind the curve.
I would try breastfeeding, and have the bottle ready. Then slip the bottle nipple in as you pull away. Have milk coming out of the bottle nipple to encourage immediate latch...and practice and have patience.
Re: If u breastfeed and also give your baby a bottle
We have not had any problems with playtex drop ins or born free. GL!
