Teething - molars...advice?

Hi ladies, my daughter has a molar coming in (only way I know this is she just had her first dentist appointment).  She is pulling at her ear, rubbing her cheek, and just all out miserable, crying and not happy, and she is a very happy baby.  Any other advice you can give me besides Tylenol and teething rings?  I even tried a couple of teething tablets out of desperation, but they didn't seem to do much.  Thanks!!!

Re: Teething - molars...advice?

  • The only thing that worked for us was baby oragel to numb while the tylenol and motrin kicked in. As soon as the meds started to wear off we knew because he was just miserable.

  • Thanks...how long until it finally broke through and he felt better?

  • We haven't had the molars come in yet. He had the four upper teeth come in all at once. It took about about two weeks for them to break through. It was hell on earth. He never slept well before but it only got worse. He was waking up every 2 hours. I hope the molars aren't as bad.
