What music are you playing for LO? I'm trying to get more ideas of what to play for R and am at a loss. Any suggestions you've got would be great, thanks!

We are huge music people in this house. We have all 800+ albums on a centralized hard drive and can play any of them from any device in the house (DH is a techie-dude). I try to match the music with the activity/mood. During the day, we've been listening to Adele, Broken Bells, Colin Hay, Rockabye Baby Bob Marley lately. At night at around bedtime routine, I've been putting on Michael Hedges (New Agey guitar) or Erik Satie (classical) to mellow him out. On Sundays we have Bluegrass Sunday. He also tends to respond to the Beatles a lot. I think anything that is not Pantera or Lil Jon is fine.
Ooh I'll have to give him a try. DH and I are big time music people and I especially love the sound of the guitar.
I wish my DH was more of a techie-dude, but sadly he is fairly technologically impaired. Though he is handy at fixing things around the house and fixing our cars.

B got 3 of the Peter Yarrow Songbooks for his baptism (from Peter, Paul and Mary fame).
There's a series of books that are songbooks filled with great kid
songs from All Through the Night and All The Pretty Little Horses to Row
Row Row Your Boat to Sloop John B. They come with a CD of all the songs and, for
those who are musically inclined, it comes with the guitar tabs.
If you go on Amazon and google The Peter Yarrow Songbook, you'll find the series.
He also likes Cherish the Ladies, Seven Nations and Frank Sinatra.
Re: Rec your music
This.....and when I feel like putting kids music on for him, I play Caspar Babypants. He likes the "Broken Truck" song...

Abby responds best to heavy metal! When she's crying H puts Metallica or Iron Maiden and she just stops crying and is all smiles! It's weird!!
