WWYD - BFF wants to buy me a pack and play

I found a Pack and Play on Craigslist for $60 - Target sells for $149.  I haven't seen it yet, but the lady said that only the newborn napper part was used.

... here's the dilemna ....

I told my Mom I was going to buy it, and she said my BFF had planned to buy me one as a shower gift (we have been BFF's since kindergarten).

I hate for her to pay to buy one when I can get one for so cheap.  WWYD?

Oh, tough question!  Will you need more than one?  (ie to stay at your moms or somewhere else the baby will frequent?!)  If so, maybe buy the Craiglist one as a back-up for use somewhere other than in your home.

Right now, I can't think that we will need a second one.

Since you're mom knows your BFF's plans can she call her and mention that you've found on one Craigslist that is in great condition and you're planning on buying it?  Maybe your BFF can buy that one for you rather than spend the additional money.  Your mom doesn't have to let on, the she told you BFF's plans, so there shouldn't be hurt feelings.

I'd let my friend buy it if it were me.  I think it's sweet of her to want to.
