its very frustrating when im trying to get DS dressed to go out somewhere and none of the clothes fit! newborn clothes fit him pretty much perfectly. newborn sleepers--some are starting to get short on him but fit him fine in the body..other fit him perfect everywhere! all the outfits that i have are 0-3 months. i had to go out and buy a newborn outfit when i got his pictures done since i had nothing super cute in newborn like that..just 0-3 months. i dont mind putting him in sleepers to go out..but i have all these super cute clothes that i want to put on him and he cant fit into them! plus since the weather is changing..half of them he wont even be able to wear because they will be wayyy too warm. i live in indiana. so weather here is nuts. 2 days ago it was so nice out..im talking you could go outside without a coat and wear some flip flops. yest and today..not so much. bahh. all these people told me when i was pregnant that he would other last in newborn clothes for like a week. ok..ive heard that plenty of times before so thats why i have like NONE. but thats not what happened lol. hopefully he will grow into them soon!
Re: clothes too big!
Yup, I could have written your post pretty much word for word. Clara is 5 1/2 weeks old, and she weighs about 8.5lbs. NB clothes are still what fit her best. She can do some of the 0-3 month clothes, but she's still swimming in the majority of them. I'm afraid she's not going to be able to wear some of the cute stuff I was hoping to put her in, because it'll be too warm by the time she's big enough. A friend of mine who also had a small baby gave me all of her newborn clothes, and I don't know what we'd do without them!
my moms coworkers daughter had a baby boy back in october so they have been giving me a bunch of clothes..im so glad they had a bunch of newborn sleepers..otherwise he wouldnt have anything!!
i went to the childrens place and gymboree today. i swear they have no newborn OUTFITS..its all like sleepers. it kind of upsets me
Gymboree and Children's Place run big. Old Navy and Gap run pretty true to size if not a little smaller and Polo runs small.
