Babies: 9 - 12 Months

MY FFFC

When I was 3 years old my dad was cleaning out some coolers with bleech outside.  It used to be blue if your remember (the bleach).

Well, I loved blue koolaid and actually drank some of the bleach water.

My mom had to call poison control and they were told NOT to let me throw up because if the bleach came back up, my throat would have been burned beyond belief.  They wanted me to drink milk, but I was allergic so they couldnt.

Lesson - Please lock up your bleach and lock your cabinets with chemicals.  Your babies don't know the difference.

  • Wow, that is scary. How much of it did you drink?

  • I'm not sure LinLin, I don't even know if my parents knew.  I really don't recall it, but it is in my babybook and my parents tell me about it often.  I think they just want me to be aware because they felt like they really failed by not having an eye on me for 30 seconds.  Something very serious could have happened to me.

  • When I was little I drank a whole bottle of that mouth wash that tasted like bubble gum. My grandma called poison control and they made me induce vomiting and drink milk. It was a long long time before my grandma allowed us to have mouthwash again.

  • My brother used to like to eat those Smackers lip gloss tubes.  I had to hide mine or they would have bite marks in them.

  • That is so scary and a good reminder!  I have a friend who ate a bottle of iron pills as a toddler and is happy he lived to tell the story.  Scary stuff.

Nope mine is white, but sometimes in the US things are different.  It might be blue somewhere else....

Exactly. What are you confessing? Did you like the taste of bleach?
  • I stuck a key in a light socket and was electrocuted. I still have the key, and promptly put socket covers on every possible socket the second Max showed even the slightest interest in being mobile.

Damn!!  I touched the prongs of something while plugging it in and I felt like someone hit me, hard, in the back.  I was convinced there was a ghost in the kitchen and my little fat as$ refused to go in the kitchen for days (couldn't keep me away that long, haha).  I can't imagine being electrocuted!
