Lila/Lyla?

My husband and I are in disagreement over the spelling of Lila. I like the "i" version. He likes the "y". His reasoning, Lyla is less likely to be mispronounced or spelled incorrectly.  I'd appreciate your opinion! Middle name Rose-family name.

Lila. Adding a "y" in the middle or "h" on the end seems trendy to me.

I was thinking of the name Lyla for our daughter and I always went to spell it with a 'Y' simply because I thought it looked better on paper. I think the first way could be confused with 'Lil - Ah'

I have no be honest. I had never heard of this name and for a long time I thought Lila was pronounced Lil-uh. I like it with the "y".
