hospital stay

With my daughter everything went perfect with labor and i was no pain afterwards and went home the day after i had her, with twins though even if everything goes perfect how long will i have to stay in the hospital, how long did you guys have to stay in the hospital, i guess i am just wondering because i never had to be away form my daughter so not being home at night with her will be hard i think

I had to stay 48 hours because I had a csection.  There is no reason for you to have to stay longer because you have twins, unless there is a complication of course.

I was induced at 1130pm on a Wednesday. We were discharged Saturday early afternoon.

I stayed from Thursday to Monday. I probably could've gone on Sunday but elected to stay the extra day because I was feeling so awful but I had HELLP and was on mag.

I delivered by c-section on Saturday and we went home on Wednesday, so 4 nights.  I probably could have left sooner, but the babies were in the NICU for a few days and we wanted to wait until we could all go home together, which we did.

I was in the hospital the same amount of time with my twins as I was with my older DD.

I had the kids sunday morning and was discharged wednesday morning, so 3 nights. I had low platelets and my OB wanted me to stay another day, but DS was in NICU 2 hours away and so he let me go.

I was in 4 nights I think... I had a vag delivery w/one twin...and a c-section with twin B.  I wasn't in a hurry to leave...but I didn't have a LO at home.

I had a vaginal delivery for both pregnancies and stayed 2 night each time.  It is no different because you are having twins - it will be based on your needs or the twins needs.
