How long after delivering your multiples did you feel you feel your body went back to 'normal'. I'm not talking about weight, or twin skin - but more like your hips, back, etc?
I'm still feeling like I'm just not put back together right. During my pg I had lot of pelvic pain, pubic symphysis, and back pain - and a lot of time on bed rest. I've gotten down to my pre-pg weight, and I feel like I've regained the muscle tone I lost during bed rest, but I'm still having issues with my back and hips especially. Has anyone visited a chiropractor after giving birth? Was it helpful? I've never been to one, and I'm not sure if I should start with a general MD first, or if it will be a waste of time...WDYT?
Re: Feeling like Humpty Dumpty
Sorry you're not feeling good, it does get better w/ time!
Yes, I went to a chiropractor starting a few months after delivering my twins. I thought it did help a bit with my lower back pain. I had diastasis (abdominal separation) plus an umbilical hernia so I was weaker in my core and this helped readjust and realign.
Along with chiro sessions, I think what really helped the most for me was exercise. B/c of my diastasis, I had to hold off on crunches, etc. that were ab-specific, but any core exercises helped take away the aches.

I don't have a twin experience but I know after delivering my DS I had horrible back pain and after a visit or two with my chiropractor (around 6 weeks pp) I was back to feeling good physically. I would consult with your primary care doctor and find a good chiropractor. A good chiropractor is beyond AMAZING and a bad one can ruin your life! GL!
My DH sees a chiropractor now and then. His back will get out of alignment, and he walks bent over like an old man.... when he gets home from the chiropractor, he looks and feels better.
I used to discourage him from seeing a chiropractor... and I encouraged him to go to an MD and have PT. He did that too. But he seems to get more relief from the chiropractor, so I backed off. Whatever makes him pain free....I'm all for it. I do have to say, that the MD was able to prescribe heavy strength anti-inflammatory meds (like aleve, but stronger)... + some muscle relaxers (for when the pain get so unbearable). He still has the same pill bottles from his visit back in october, but I'm glad he has them. GL!
