I agree with Jon Bon Jovi

There is something so soulless about downloading music.  I miss going to the record store, flipping through vinyl, the scratchy sound of the needle...

Some technology brings people closer together.  But much of it, in my heart of hearts I believe, much of it works to keep us isolated from each other.

  • I felt that way about books. But now I want a Kindle.See ya later, soul! (kidding)
  • I disagree. I think the ability to download music makes it easier for people to discover and enjoy different artists that they may not ordinarily notice. I found one of my new favorites, The National, from looking at my iTunes recommendations. If it weren't for that, I would never have known their awesomeness.

  • I agree.  I'm that way with music and books.  I'm too tactile, it's the whole experience.  The smell of the used bookstore/dry attic.  The static cling of the cd or vinyl wrapper coming off, the smell of the new cd or record, the re-arranging of the collection to fit the new ones......

Now I want to watch High Fidelity

    100% agree!
