I use FuzziBunz ones that are double-sided with fleece, but I just purchased my first sewing machine and some cotton flannel and I'll be attempting to make my own soon. I have about 30 cloth wipes at the moment, I think, but we do use disposable wipes as well. But honestly cloth is easier since you can just fold them into the dirty cloth diaper and throw everything into the pail instead of throwing out the disposable ones separately.
We use cloth wipes too and once you try them you won't like disposable wipes. Cloth wipes clean up wayyyy better and you do end up using less each change. They clean easily in the wash and are more convenient. Every once in a while I'll use disposable wipes if they happen to be closer to me than the cloth, and its annoying to have to sit them on top the diaper and then go throw those in the trash, its an extra step.
Cloth wipes are actually pretty easy to make yourself if you have a sewing machine or know someone who does. Its nice to have a scrubby side and a softer side. Ours are flannel one side, terry on the other. I'd say at least 2 dozen is nice to have.
It really makes more sense to use cloth wipes if you're CDing, IMO. That way, you don't have to keep a trash can and a diaper pail next to your changing table; you can just toss the wipe in the diaper and then into the pail. Plus, they're more absorbent, so you can often use one wipe as opposed to several for a rather messy clean-up.
I have Fuzzibunz wipes and Thirsties Fab wipes. They're pricey, but you could always make your own or use cheap Circo washcloths (lots of moms on the board do this).

We use cut up old t-shirts and plain water. Free, soft, and require no sewing! I hope they work just as well when LO starts solids down the line. For EBF poo, they are super.
Re: Reusable Wipes?
We use cloth wipes.
Doesn't really make sense to me to cloth diaper, and then have to throw away poopy wipes, when I could just wash them all together.
I buy mine on Etsy, there are lots of good sellers. We have around 30, and it's the perfect number.
