DS starts in 2.5 weeks, and I have tons of questions:
1) Who drops off your LO to daycare?
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)?
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?)
I am trying to figure this all out... thinking on Monday I'll start trying to get us all on a morning routine (DS, DD and I...DH works a block from home and so I do drop-offs and stuff).
Re: If your LO is in daycare, come in!
1) Who drops off your LO to daycare? - I drop of DS at Daycare
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)?
5:00AM - 5:55AM
- three (3) 5oz. bottles of formula made, labeled and placed in fridge
- 4 bibs need to be in diaper bag
- recieving blanket packed in diaper bag
- 1 set of clothes
- 2 burb cloths
*also during this time I take a shower, get dressed, brush hair and teeth and get bottle ready for LO to eat.*
6:00AM - 6:55AM
- No later then 6:00am I need to feed Jacob *if he eats any later then he pukes on me*
- burped and sat still for at least 30 minutes
- diaper needs to be changed and new clothes need to be put on him with new bib.
- At 6:50 I have to have him completely ready
- bear coat goes on
- Jacob inserted into sling or car seat
- pack the bottles in fridge into diaper bag
- be at bus stop at 7:05 at the latest
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?)
whatever, I'll dress him in either or
I do both the drop-off and the pick-up. We don't go to day care, but we do go to CCP home; this is our morning routine:
5:15-6:00am
Shower, dress, hair, makeup
Pack my lunch
Pack Bottles for LO (4-4oz bottles of BM)
Pack 3 bibs, 3 burp cloths, 2 changes of clothes, cloth diapers and cloth diaper wet bag
Pack gym clothes for me
6am-6:30am
Wake DS
Feed/burp DS
Change diaper and clothes for DS
*We have to be in the car no later than 6:30am or traffic is horrendous*
6:50am Drop LO off at CCP
I usually dress him in either a one-piece sleeper or pants and a onesie. It really depends on the weather here.
1) Who drops off your LO to daycare?
DH drops him off and picks him up.
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)?
We get up at 6:15am, I dress and feed Charlie while DH gets ready, then I put him in his car seat and hand off all of his stuff (back pack, bottles, etc.) to DH on his way out the door at 6:45am. Then I go back to sleep for an hour because I don't need to be in until 9am!
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?)
Whatever, really. Sleepers, pants/onesie, etc. I always make sure there are extra clothes at daycare though because you never know.
All I can say is set things out the night before and try different things until you find a routine that works for you. And remember, most daycare centers don't mind if a parent calls during the day to check in on LO and see how they're doing! I did that during my lunch hour the first week and his teachers were so nice about updating me on his day. Good luck!

1. I do both drop off and pick up since it's closer for me
2. DH and I get up at 530am - I shower and get ready while he feeds and dresses LO. I'm out the door with LO by 630am and DH gets ready and leaves for work about 730am
3. I dress LO in sleepers or comfy outfits. Nothing fancy as he spits up so why get a nice outfit dirty.
My advice is get the diaper bag ready the night before so you can just grab it and go. Here are the things I always make sure are in there: diapers, formula, extra outfits including socks, a few bibs, a burp cloth, a toy, pacifer
It's amazing that there are set times and schedules for morning...it's like military drill.
My "do or die" time is 6am...MUST BE FED AT THAT TIME
does anyone else of a "do or die" time?

1) Who drops off your LO to daycare?
I drop off, DH picks up.
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)?
Up by 5:45/6, whether of my own volition or LO is already up to eat. Wet hair to get rid of bedhead and air dry, do other person care things to get ready, have coffee, pack bottles, pump, pack up pump, put all 3 bags of crapola in the car, feed LO, dress myself -- and these can occur in different order depending on what sort of morning LO is having. Sometimes I need to wake DH to help if she won't sleep and I need to finish getting ready. We are out the door by 7:15 and on our way to daycare. We get there by 7:25, and I"m usually back in my car by 7:40ish and on my way to work.
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?)
Sleepers.
Thanks for the tips! Since having DS, I've been doing DD's stuff the night before (lunch, clothes, backpack ready, etc.) and so I figure I'll do the same thing with DS's stuff. I'm lucky enough that I work only a few blocks from daycare, so I will be stopping in to nurse him during lunchtime. (Which is especially helpful because I only have one "producing" boob, so it lowers the amount of EBM he'll need during the day when away from me [thus lowering the amount I need to pump at work].)
1) Who drops off your LO to daycare? My DH drops our LO off in the morning and I pick him up in the afternoon, we leave the car seat there and we each have a base in our cars.
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)? I wake up around 6:00 or 6:15, shower and get ready for work. We wake LO up around 7:00 or 7:15 and I change his diaper and get him dressed while DH gets ready. I leave for work at 7:30 and DH feeds LO and takes him to daycare around 8:00. I thought our morning routine would be a lot more hectic but it's been working out pretty well so far. And LO has been waking up smiling and giggling every morning which is always nice!
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?) We usually dress him in outfits (onesie and pants) although today he wore a sleeper because it was his St. Patrick's Day outfit. We have extra onesies and pants at daycare in case he spits up.
I am going to share our INSANE routine just so that everyone else feels better about their own :-) First a little explanation... we live 1 hour from our offices. DS goes to a daycare halfway in between our house and work b/c they work with him on his speech delay. DD goes to daycare at my office so that I can BF during the day and b/c I love the infant room teachers at this center and DS's center has an 18 mo wait list so she can't go there anyway! So yes, we pay for two separate daycares and do two separate drop offs/pick ups. Cray cray. When she turns 1, they will go to the same daycare (and I will praise the heavens). Also, we are currently trying to sell our house and move closer in so that will make a huge difference. For now, the insanity goes on.
5:00 am- Wake Up/Nurse
6:15 am- Leave home
6:45 am- Daycare Drop off #1
7:15 am- Daycare Drop off #2- DH takes the car and goes on to his office- 5 min away from mine
7:30 am- I'm at my desk
8:00 am- Nurse/Pump
I'm scared. I start next week.
1. Me. DH will be gone before we wake up.
2. Probably horribly scary. I can't figure out how I will get ready for work, eat, pump the side that LO doesn't nurse on, and get her ready to go on my own before 7am.
3. Probably sleepers or a onesie with pants. Socks annoy me, though.
DH is gone from 5am to 7 pm and I'm going back to work as a teacher, so I CAN'T be late for work, ever, and I have to do EVERYTHING until DH comes home just in time for baby's bath time and bedtime, and then I'm on my own again because he sleeps in the other room so he's safe to drive his long commute. I'm starting to panic.
1) Who drops off your LO to daycare?
i do on my way to school. our house, daycare and my school are all only a few streets apart.
2) What are your mornings like (whether you or your SO does drop-off)?
I do almost everything at night this is sooo helpful to keeping my sanity
at night i shower, straighten my hair, lay out my clothes, make my lunch, bathe the babes, lay out her clothes, pack her diaper bag, pack her bottles and put the lunch bag in the fridge.
in the morning:
wake up a little after 5 and pump. SO makes me something to eat
then i brush my teeth and clean my pump parts and pack up the pump and bottles for work
then i get dressed and do my makeup
SO feeds baby and usually gets her dressed (if i have time i like to dress her because i think its really fun and she's always in a happy mood in the morning)
then SO warms up my car and i put her in the car seat and we leave around 7
3) What do you dress your LO in for daycare? (Sleepers, outfits, whatever?)
outfits. she has so many clothes, i feel like she needs to show them off.
