Thoughts on Augustus Matthew?  NN: Gus

Our 11 month old son is Leonidas William.  We call him 'Leo'.

Daughters are Brooke & Angelina (11yrs & 9yrs).

 The boys would be Leo & Gus.

 Honest opinions please

I like Augustus William with the nickname Gus.  We are naming our son August and will call him Gus or Augie.  Great name!

Yeah, I had put 'William' but it should be 'Matthew'.  Dad's name is William Matthew.  My bad.

Love the August, Augustus, Augustine's.. :-D I will say, these variations seem quite popular on this board. Not sure if that is a sign of of the name shooting to the top popularity-wise or if it is just the tastes on this forum.

This!  I'm glad someone else has the same thought.  Augustus is NMS at all, and I hate the nn Gus.  I prefer August, but I'm still not a fan.  I do like Matthew for a mn though.

I like this.  Kind of like Justin but Augustin?  I'd have to do it w/o the e at the end tho.  My devil woman SIL's last name is Augustine and there's noooo way...
