While I was OOT today, Joanie ended up in the ER. Apparently, there was an altercation between her and a male classmate pertaining to the ownership of a certain toy (::eyeroll::). She and said boy were playing tug-o-war with the toy, he let go, and she fell backwards and landed on her head. She lost consciousness for a moment, and her eyes rolled around weirdly. DH took her to the ER, she was evaluated and discharged with instructions for rest and careful observation. She's going to be fine.

However, while DH and Joanie were in the ER, a 1.5 year old little boy was brought in after having been driven over by a tractor. He didn't make it. The ER doctors informed the parents of their loss right outside of Joanie's cubicle. ( DH said Joanie was really shaken when she heard this going on.) My heart is absolutely broken for the poor parents of the child. I cannot even IMAGINE losing one of my precious babies.

So, if you pray, please pray for those parents and their family. They just have to be going through more pain than is imaginable.

Oh my gosh ... I'm sure those parents must be heartbroken.

wow. that is just so unbelievably sad. i am choked up just thinking about it

it must have been very hard for joanie to hear! i'm glad she's doing fine, and i'll def. keep that family in my prayers!

That is so terribly sad. I will definitely keep that family in my thoughts. Glad to hear that Joanie was fine - that must have been awful for her.

I'm so glad your little one is ok. I can't even begin to imagine what those parents are going through - I tear up when a child on a fake tv show gets hurt. I will definitely keep them in my thoughts.
