baby name block - HELP!

i have a small baby name book and i swear i have read the girl names cover to cover and DH has nixed almost all the ones i've suggested. My current favorite that i'm trying to really sell him on is Sabrina. He says he likes it but he doesnt think its *the* name yet. i need some new name suggestions!!

for reference, our DD's name is Cassidy. For this baby i have already suggested: Emily, Emma, Aleixs, Charlotte, Caroline, Violet, Avery, Leah, Dorothy, Lena, Molly, Nora, Lucy, and Evelyn. i dont necessarily want anything super popular right now and i really want a name that can be shortened/have nicknames.

What if you tweaked the name Sabrina to Selena? Or Celine? Or Samantha? Has your dh given any names he prefers or a style he is leaning towards?

Sounds like you need to hand the name book to him.

Doing all the work can really stress you out, and it's aggrevating if it seems like he vetoes every name. Ask him to pick out some names, and go from there.

i totally agree! i told him this morning i was calling her Sabrina unless he start suggesting something! he only suggested non-serious names like "Effy". really? and thats not short for anything... he just threw it out there as the name. As much as i really want a name this instant i think i'm going to put names on hold for a bit so we can re-group. its hard though when EVERYONE you know is asking you! back off people!

ok youtotally need to relax.. this happened to me with all my pregnancies.. you want to pick a name you are not going to regret.. one that is pretty and you both like.. I suggest yo both take a break and come back to the idea in a few days.. maybe each make a list of name you like and see if any match..

how about another c name.. that wold be cute!
