This may be a silly question, but I'm wondering if people who end up a week plus overdue were charting and know exactly when they ovulated/conceived. Or if people end up being overdue because were not charting and the due date was based off of doctors measurements.
I hope this makes sense. I'm just curious!
Re: 2+ Moms..were you charting and overdue?

This made me laugh
I'm aware, I'm just wondering if there was anyone who was charting and know when they ovulated and was still a week or two late.
I'm sure there are lots
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
With DD I was charting & knew the date of conception. DD was still almost a week overdue when we induced.
I charted and was on track for most of the pregnancy. If I was off, it was always ahead.
I didn't technically go overdue, but at 39 weeks and 5 days my cervix was clamped shut with no thinning. I wasn't having a baby any time soon. I had never felt a BH contraction at that point. My blood pressure was high at that appointment so I was sent to L&D. Failed induction and the next day I had a c-section.
I was charting, and I know when I conceived. The due date that I was given was out by three days though. I delivered at 41 weeks (if you go by when I know I conceived) or 40w4d if you go by the due date they gave me. I was not induced and I went into labor naturally. I am not sure if this answers your question or not. With my first pregnancy I was so concerned about due dates being correct, etc. but for this time I don't really care that much.
I charted with DD1 and knew when I got pregnant. That made my due date Nov 15. At the first ultrasound DD was measuring 8 days behind so they changed my due date to Nov 23. DD was born on Nov 10 - the doctor and midwives all had a good laugh because I had been saying all along she would be born closer to the 15th. The hospital pediatrician said DD was most definitely closer to 40 weeks than 38 weeks based on a number of factors.
Babies come when they are ready but I was glad that I was right!

My Lily was born nearly 3 weeks after her EDD. I was charting and knew what day I conceived. I was very lucky to have been planning a homebirth with a MW who doesn't place too much of an emphasis on the famous "due date," because I would have definitely ended up with an induction and unnecessary c-section at a hospital.
Some babes just need a little bit more time. I think mine really wanted to be a Leo because she was born on the first day of that sign.
FWIW, I will say that I *think* I might have gone into labor earlier if Lily hadn't been posterior...that is something I will try to prevent with future pregnancies.
I'd love to know time from implantation to birth. With DS, I know when I conceived and if temp dip is any indication, I can guess at implantation. I have a BabyMed app on my phone & when I plug in LMP w/ 25 day cycle (since I O'd early), my O date is right on, but the implantation date they give is 4 days after my temp dip. They give EDD as 4/2...subtract 4 from that = 3/29. I had DS on 3/29.
This pg I again know when I conceived and saw a temp dip & had a twinge of pain 6 days after O - which, again, I'm guessing was implantation. In my handy little app, it gives EDD 11/22, but implantation 3 days after the temp dip. So I'm putting my money on 11/19 as DC#2's birthday.
