S/O Itch Question... This one is TMI

I've noticed for the last week or so that my lady bits are really itchy alot of the time. I thought maybe I needed to shave, but that just made it worse. Now I'm thinking maybe I've become allergic to some in my discharge or the discharge itself. I seem to need to change my underwear way more often than is normal and that helps with the itching.

Sorry this is so full of overshare, but I was just wondering if any of you ladies knew what might be causing it?

  • Might be a yeast infection, they are really common during pregnancy. I'm being treated for one now. Let your doctor know so she can give you the proper meds, don't but anything over the counter unless he/she says its ok.

  • Sounds like a yeast infection to me too.  I'd check with your doc!

  • I hadn't even thought of that! Thanks guys! I have to call and book my next appointment soon, I'll see if I can get in for a quick visit before then though.

  • i've already had two since the bfp.  never had this problem last time.  each pregnancy really is different.

monistat 7 is safe to use, just an fyi.

  • Thanks! I'll see what the dr says. There's really no point in trying to fix it if I'm not really sure what's wrong.

  • I do that with tonsilitis. They can't give me anything for it, and they won't take my tonsils out. I've had it more times than I could even attempt to count, so I know what it is, and I'm able to tell the difference between tonsilitis and strep throat so I just Live on cough drops till it goes away. Strep they at least give me stuff for. Not the really good stuff that works fast (penicllin sp?) but stuff.

have you changed laundry soap, body wash, or toilet paper? I found out the hard way I'm allergic to quilted northern or whatrever it's called.

I thought of that, but I haven't. My first thought was actually the laundry soap we use, since my mom and sister are both allergic to it. But nothing else itches. So that's out. And I don't even pay attention to the kind of TP we use. That's a possibility
